MAKING MENU OPENING FASTER
when u open any folder in ur computer ur computer delays it for sum milliseconds....just check dis trick out n den see how fast everything opens up in ur system.....
1. Go to Start then Run Type Regedit then click 'Ok'
2. Find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\"Select "MenuShowDelay"
3. Right click and select "Modify'
4. Reduce the number to around "100" #This is the delay time before a menu is opened. You can set it to "0" but it can make windows really hard to use as menus will open if you just look at them - well move your mouse over them anyway.
I tend to go for anywhere between 100-150 depending on my mood...

How to Remove Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications

Windows genuine advantage notifications occur when your computer hasn't passed the validation test. The validation test can be failed due to being sold a pirated (non-genuine) copy of XP, or because you have changed your XP product key to a software-generated key, or sometimes it just happens for no reason at all. The failed validation installs three types of notifications on your computer: one on the log in screen, one log in timer, and one balloon. It also stops updates from Microsoft and disables your ability to install IE7 and Windows Media Player 11. This solution can get rid of all three notifications, even though you will still not be able to update through Windows Update. You will not be able to download things from Microsoft that requires a valid license either.
Steps 1. If you have only just installed Windows Genuine Advantage notifications, simply using the system restore function will remove the program. Then refuse to accept the WGA update next time Windows updates... Otherwise, proceed as detailed below.
Step 2. Open System32 by either A or B of the following methods:
a)
Click "Start", "Run", then type-in "System32". Click "Okay".b) Find System32 manually by clicking "Start" > "My Computer" > "(X:)" (Replacing "X" with the drive letter of the host of Windows) > "Windows" > "System32".
Step 3. In "System32", go to "Tools" > "Folder options" > click on the tab, "View" > Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Now you can begin...
Step 4. Check to make sure the window that comes up has a full screen of various files. The files are in alphabetical order, which makes it easier to locate the specific file.
Step 5 . Find "WgaLogon.dll" and rename it "WgaLogon.dll.bak".Step 6. Create an empty copy of WgaLogon.dll:
a. Right click on a blank space in System32 and select "New" > "Text Document".b. Leave the text document empty and label it "WgaLogon.dll". Press Enter (on your keyboard).
c. You may get a warning from the above step that says, "If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?". Click "Yes" on this warning.
Step 7. Be ready to complete the next two steps very quickly! Find "WgaTray.exe" in "System32" and delete it. You will then have 5 seconds to find "WgaTray.exe" in the Task Manager (the next step).

Step 8. Immediately open Task Manager. You can do this by pressing the Ctrl, Shift, and Esc keys simultaneously, pressing the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys simultaneously, or right clicking the Taskbar and selecting "Task Manager". Click on the process tab and click end process when "WgaTray.exe" is selected. Note: If you take longer, do NOT panic! All that will happen is that "WgaTray.exe" will keep reapearing in the processes list (i.e. you won't be able to delete it as required). To remove the notifications after this, return to system32. You will find two files:"WgaLogon.dll.bak" (the one you renamed) and an Application Extension (0KB) called "WgaLogon.dll". Delete the Application Extension, rename "WgaLogon.dll.bak" to "WgaLogon.dll" and repeat the steps from the fifth one onwards (at a greater speed!!).
Step 9 . Restart your computer once you have finished. All the notification messages should be gone.
The WINDOWS VISTA can be validated for 1 year time without activation
This isn't a hacker exploit. It doesn't require any tools or utilities whatsoever.
Microsoft has even documented the Registry key, although obtusely, on its Technet site. Here's a step-by-step guide into Livingston's finding:
Step 1: While running a copy of Windows Vista that hasn't yet been activated, click the Start button, type regedit into the RUN box, then press Enter to launch the Registry Editor.
Step 2: Explore down to the following Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ SL
Step 3 : Right-click the Registry key named SkipRearm and click Edit. The default is a Dword (a double word or 4 bytes) with a hex value of 00000000. Change this value to any positive integer, such as 00000001, save the change, and close the Registry Editor.
Step 4: Start a command prompt with administrative rights. The fastest way to do this is to click the Start button, enter cmd in the Search box, then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. If you're asked for a network username and password, provide the ones that log you into your domain. You may be asked to approve a User Account Control prompt and to provide an administrator password. \
Step 5: Type one of the following two commands and press Enter:slmgr –rearm or rundll32 slc.dll,SLReArmWindows Either command uses Vista's built-in Software Licensing Manager (SLMGR) to push the activation deadline out to 30 days after the command is run. Changing SkipRearm from 0 to 1 allows SLMGR to do this an indefinite number of times. Running either command initializes the value of SkipRearm back to 0.
Step 6: Reboot the PC to make the postponement take effect. (After you log in, if you like, you can open a command prompt and run the command slmgr -xpr to see Vista's new expiration date and time.)
Step 7: To extend the activation deadline of Vista indefinitely, repeat steps 1 through 6 as necessary.
Note : But a fact warning for the prospective Vista buyers, "If you happen to buy a Vista PC from a little-known seller, and the price was too good to be true, use Vista's search function to look for the string SkipRearm in files. You may discover that your "bargain" computer will mysteriously start demanding activation in a year or two — but your product key won't be valid."
